Bogey Man

Operation Gma-sitting starts today. I wish I could have a better attitude about it. My friend wants to come visit me while I'm there. I feel bad because I just don't think that's going to work. I'm just so nervous about mixing him in with my family.

I have an attitude problem that really needs to go away.

Going To Town

My birthday weekend was GREAT! One of the best I've had in a LONG time!

Friday, we celebrated my birthday at work. Food, cards, decorations...and a dozen pink roses from my friend. Everyone say it...Awwww. Yes, he's that sweet. The sweeter part of it, he didn't have/know the address to my work, and he did a lot of leg work to get it without me knowing.

Friday night, my friend and I went to dinner. Fancy dinner. Somewhere that takes reservations. I think I can count on 1 hand how many times I've been at a place that takes reservations. It was nice to get semi-dressed up & go out. He didn't tell me where we were going or anything & I didn't fight with him (that much) about it being a surprise. The service was good, the food was GREAT, the company was fabulous! Not something that this NOT girly girl could do all the time, but it was nice.

Saturday afternoon, I went to youngest cousin's birthday party. They made me a cake & signs and stuff too, which was sweet. I had a good time there. My one Aunt was annoying me, but whatever. She was bugging my Mom too.

Saturday night, we went downtown for dinner to Cheli's Chili. It was cool. The service was GREAT, the chili was GREAT, the other food was decent. Then we went to the bar. It was a bar that's much more my kind of bar. I was a GREAT time. My friends managed to be cordial. THANK YOU ST & SML!!!

Sunday, my actual birthday. My friend and I did a whole lot of nothing. We went to visit with Shell (who is one of my best friends and happens to be his sister-in-law) since she's been sick & missed going out for my birthday. We grabbed Burger King for lunch then we went shopping. SHOPPING like crazy at Kohl's. Its all okay when you have a coupon! Then we came home and chilled in front of the fireplace. I love fireplaces! I really love my friend's fireplace. Its one of the cool gas kind, where all we have to do is flip the switch.

Today I got home to get my gift from Jo. Scrapbooking pens & a body pillow. YAY! Plus some cards & cash from family & friends.

I honestly, can't recall a better birthday. Thanks everyone for everything!

Starting Wednesday until ???? I'll be at Gma's full time. I'm not happy but I'll manage.

2 days until my birthday!

I'm not that excited now, cause I'm fighting with my Dad or something. He often assumes that I'll do stuff. He tends to just expect things & in return, I get taken advantage of more often then I should. Now, don't get me wrong, I KNOW I have things good here! But, I'm still an adult, my own person, with my own life. He assumed we were carpooling today, yet everyone in my house knew I had plans for my birthday tonight. Normally, I would have cancelled my plans or spent 3 hours in the car. Well, I put my foot down and said no. Dad isn't used to me telling him NO. Oh well. I just wish I could say NO without feeling like I'm in the wrong.

Double Day

So apparently Blogger won't let me post via email lately. When you have as much free time as I do, that's annoying.

My friend is so perfect, for me. Tuesday, he invited me over for dinner. As we were putting stuff away, we managed to have fun playing with his vacuum sealer for an hour. Yes, we are that big of nerds! We manage to finish each others sentances now & then too. "cause I don't like dark chocolate!"

Alright...enough about that.

I'm alive & well.

Gma is HOME! You have NO IDEA how nice that is. Weight is lifted off my shoulders, for sure! She's got a nurse, nurse aide, physical therapist, & occupational therapist coming to the house...all at different times, so she's busy.

And in other IMPORTANT news...TOMORROW is election day! Do not forget to vote!

I had a fantastic weekend of doing nothing but having fun with my friend. We laughed, we cried, we talked, we cooked, we ate, we lounged, we went shopping, we visited with his friends. It was just SO nice to not really do anything but I enjoyed EVERY second of it. And Jo, his name is just fine as my friend.

Woman Of The World

I got to go to the Red Wings game tonight.  They were playing my favorite all time hockey players team...Darren McCarty of the Calgary Flames.  YAY!!!!!!  Red Wings won!  YAY!!!!

My friend & I have had a real break through & things are going fabulous.
